Germany: The successful digital only station 80s80s got a sister station at the end of November. 90s90s is a radio station tailored for the urban and dance music audiences of the 90s and are exclusively online. No word yet on a potential DAB roll-out.

Regiocast first launched 80s80s online and on DAB in Hamburg. It has proved to be a success and a sister station has now been launched. 90s90s will only be available online.

From 90s90s.de listeners will be treated to a mix of artists and genres, but the main focus will be on urban, dance and hip-hop. It will cover artists such as Ace of Base, Celine Dion, Rednex, Roxette and U96.

Both radio stations are programmed and managed by a Regiocast team in Berlin. Sebastian Voigt heads up the team, and he has first hand knowledge from the 90s on stations such as 98.8 Kiss FM in Berlin and Planet Radio in Frankfurt.

Voigt says to Radiowoche.de: Listeners, who have spent their youth in clubs in the 90s, can rediscover their anthems all over again.
