Live coverage map show how Norwegian radio has switched off FM in a region of the country

Norway: Last Wednesday the Norwegian broadcasters started switching off the FM-network. The three major operators, including public service broadcaster NRK, have shut down in region 1 (the Northern county of Nordland) and a map showing current P4 FM coverage has a clear patch of nothing where distribution now is digital.

You can clearly see a patch about midway along Norway with no active FM transmitters. The next region to shut down is immediately below and down along the coast, region 2 consists of counties Nord-Trøndelag, Sør-Trøndelag (including the metropolitan area of Trondheim) and Møre og Romsdal. Here NRK will shut down in February and then the commercial broadcasters in April.
