Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody is the ultimate British song

UK: Radio X listeners has voted Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody as the ultimate British song. It is the second time Radio X – home to Chris Moyles and Russell Brand – have done a Best of British poll.



Almost 25,000 votes were cast in Radio X’s Best of British poll, with Queen taking the number one spot as the Top 100 was revealed on Easter Monday, 25 years since the band staged the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley Stadium on Easter Monday in 1992.

Radio X presenter also took part: Chris Moyles voting for Shed Seven’s ‘Going For Gold’, Russell Brand opting for ‘Sweet and Tender Hooligan’ by The Smiths, Johnny Vaughan backing Led Zeppelin’s ‘Rock and Roll’, Gordon Smart choosing The Beatles’ ‘A Day In the Life’ and Lliana Bird picking Blur’s ‘Song 2’.
