The radio station “Atlanta Radio Korea” was fire bombed by former sales rep Hong Chae. He entered the building with the intent to destroy it. When he detonated the explosive device he was seriously injured, news anchor Kevin Kim was also injured in the attack.

Tommy Tutledge from the Gwinnett County Fire Department says to website RadioOnline.com that the former employee entered the building and then proceeded to detonate what is believed to be a Molotov cocktail. Local TV-station WXIA reports that employees tried to stop Chae when he threw the bomb. They managed to get in to a studio, and then saw Chae sprinkle what is believed to be pain thinner before attempting to light it. Eventually the employees managed to wrestle Chae to the ground and detain him until authorities arrived on the scene.

After a short visit to the hospital the 51-year old Chae was escorted to jail. The former sales rep is held on two counts of possession of a destructive device and one count of first degree arson.
